Goodbye to All That

Well, dear readers (I hope you're still lurking somewhere out there after this long and burdensome siege of constant posting), we're coming to the end of May.  I did in fact post most days, and it was a real exercise in discipline.  Now if I can only apply this discipline to my dissertation, I'll be all set.

As this month ends, so does Hedgehog's first grade.  She's out of school as of next Friday, and will be a rising second-grader.  Time rushes on, despite my ambivalence.

So I'll raise a glass (in this case a Dixie cup) to all the miles, the lost teeth, Pokemon cards, rainy afternoons, cherry blossoms, missing mittens, outgrown sneakers, clay wolves, math puzzles, chilly mornings, afterschool snacks, birthday parties, crushes, and library books of first grade!

Leah,
I think you did very well in your quest to write a post a day. I don't think I could do it - I'd run out of things to say (but I suppose you could just cheat and one post could be a sentence :-)) Hope you'll still be posting regularly though!

Have a lovely weekend!

hiya leah,
i'll second pj....you did great.
your list of things from 1st grade made me think back to when Liam (the first) started school....all i could think of was that i was going to have to pack lunches for the next 13 years!! that frightened me more than anything and now i'm frightened because 9 of those years are gone. i've also realised that i will be packing lunches for the younger ones for at least 3 years after the first finishes school...and then maybe uni...aaargh!! lets face it i will be packing lunches for many years to come. then, when i donrt have to i'll probably pine for the "Old days"
:)

Whew, you said it! A post a day was something else. Thanks for inspiring me, though. I do appreciate it.

Plus, thanks for your donation to the Alzheimer's Memory Walk!!

I couldn't "post all along" because I'm dying! Cut me some slack, will ya lady? Hey, and I did post a lot, just not on every one because, that's right, I'm dying. Jezzzzzzzz. Okay, I'm kidding, but just know, I tried my best to comment.

Honey, thanks for all your support. You guys have kept me sane. I just commented on Random Chicks blog, so please go there for some details. I realized I'm too exhausted to repeat myself. And if I poop out before I make the rounds, please tell everyone to go there. Thanks! I'll try to get a post up explaining everything in the next day or so. Today is out. I can tell. That 12 hour fast killed me.

Your posts are terrific. I read all the ones I missed. You and Hedgie deserve to raise a paper cup to success! And congrats too on your successful month of a post-a-day. Beautiful job.

Love you,
Suze XO
