I Was a Child of the '70s...

...and I am thankful for that.

To what other occasion could one wear these plaid pants?

I see old men on golf courses wearing plaid slacks all the time. Either they are 30 years behind the times or you were 30 years ahead!

It depends on the tartan I think they look very smart.

I am pretty sure, buried in the depths of my mother's photo boxes, there is a pic of me wearing similar scary pants. I had blocked it until now.

Hi Leah!

Oh that old wrinkle free polyester! Love the look and feel of cotton, but will they ever make it wrinkle free too?

Best wishes,

Skeeter

Kylie, I'm a bit jealous of that dress and the cork-soled sandals. I would totally wear that outfit now.

Bob, I like to think I'm always, like Ziggy Stardust, 30 years ahead.

Old Knudsen! How my heart skipped a beat when I saw your ill-tempered visage on my blog!!!! Yes, you're right of course, depends on the tartan.

Murali, if you like, you can block it again!

Dear Skeeter! Yes, wrinkle-free cotton. Or wrinkle-free any natural fiber. That would be nothing short of miraculous.

Aren't you a little cutie!!! You look like my baby sister. I was a teen most of the 70's so dressed a bit better, but not much!!! Wow, was that a great decade, or what???!!! I'm grateful for it too.

Love you ~ XO
P.S. As always, the comments are terrific!

It's okay, Walker, my husband tells me that he had and wore a pair of white and purple Harlequin pants!!!! And he loved them so much that when he outgrew them, his mom cut them off to make Harlequin bermuda shorts!

I do believe that I may have a picture of myself in pants that could be a twin to those ones. Gotta love growing up then.
