Yarn . . . for me it reminds me of my family. Mum in her hey day was a great knitter. Used to knit all our jumpers (pullovers) and our footy scarves. One year when i was a lad mum knitted me an Essendon footy club scarf in the colours red & black. Mum used a whole ball of wool for each stripe! The scarf was very heavy but oh so warm! Watching my beloved Bombers on a bleak wintry afternoon , win or lose. Mum used to sit and knit for hours on end . . knit 1, pearl 2, . .
Hi Kooka--I love that story. I love hearing knitting memories! Oh, and if you stop back here, I just wanted to let you know I've been having trouble posting a comment on your blog...it's not for lack of stopping by!
thanks for the comment, dear. Like I told INNER i think i have fixed the fault at my place. Please visit me again when you feel inclined. Have a lovely week.
I love this post. Simple, and says so many wonderful things. Hope you are well, and so is your dissertation life. My dissertation and I are moving along, though I am not sure in which direction.
