Contest

just a small sample of my voluminous stash

Update: since I'm closing the contest and drawing for it after midnight tonight, I thought I'd repost in case anyone else wants to get in on the action...

I have finally sent off the special custom socks to the winners of my last contest, and now have a hankering to hold another one!

Today I kick off my Six Months without Shopping, and in honor of this hopeful endeavor I am going to dig into my massive stash of fancy and colorful yarns for the latest prize.

The prize: winner's choice--either a cozy scarf made out of some lovely natural fiber, or a set of ball-band dishcloths, knitted just for you. I have such a huge stash that the winner can probably choose a color and I'm willing to bet I have it on hand!

How to enter: just leave a comment on this post by midnight of tonight (Tuesday October 6). I will number the comments and hold a random drawing.

That's it! I hope you'll enter. You can be from any part of the world; I'm not picky.

xo

I've just noticed the opera gloves and remember wearing them - not quite so feisty as the ones in your sidebar.
I do the dishes by hand but like Savannah I love scarves.

A nice new scarf would be perfect for the fast-approaching New York City winter!

A funky hand-knitted srarf would be nice for the Irish winter, or summer/spring/autumn! It's all the same here!

Don't worry 'bout the colours, I am major-blind so it'll just get me more attention!

A scarf in Florida? How could I not throw my name in the running?

Me! Me! Pick me!

Ballband Washcloths! Am completely obsessed, love the multiple colour combos. Is that a single crochet around the edge of the knitted ones or a slip stitch?

SCARF!!!!!!!!! In a LOVELY NEUTRAL COLOR!!!!!!!!!!

I love you, Leah...

Hmmm... Something new you can fetishize... I'll have to think about that one. Something tasteful, with a twist. I'll get my thinking cap on and get back to ya.

I was SO happy to see a new post, too!!!

In a few short months it will be 30freakin'below zero here, so I would appreciate an extra layer of insulation for my vasectomized boys...
they've been traumatized now and they are exhibiting poor behaviour related to their serious trust issues!

Honestly, now they keep trying to nestle up near my spleen...ugh!

Should this be on the other blog?

Oh, pick me. It looks like you have plenty of yarn so you don't have to worry about shopping in this area of your life.

Please count me in! I would adore a handmade scarf, especially from you. :^)

Summer's comin' but I figure since I never win anything and I'm 12,000 miles away the odds have to be there . . don't they? And dish cloths don't respect seasons.

I might have a problem. The son and I went second-handing today for socks and hats. We ended up with everything but!

So...do you want to know how much we SAVED??? ;)

Does this count as an entry!!!?

Once upon a time
A scarf was used to bind
A wound leaking life's blood.
So successful in it's endeavor
That I am wont to treasure
It's very existence.

What a great idea. Maybe I could do a contest for my dreamcatchers.

Oh, a lovely hand knitted scarf in some lovely purpley kind of colours... that would be my choice... if you pick me!

I can crochet but have never been very successful with knitting, for some reason... not sure why.

Am I too late? I did drop by a few days ago, but couldn't comment as was pulled away by a phone call or something. I would love a dishcloth sample- as you know, I've already got a scarf on the go. You are my knitting muse :)

Can't wait to hear how your shopping-free 6 months will go. Brave girl!
