Dream of the Soft Look Your Eyes Had Once
The bits and pieces of my October wedding day, so long ago that I can hardly remember it, except for one thing: my aunt, now dead, taking me gently by the shoulders, looking me in the eyes, through eyes very like mine, and saying: Try to stop and look around you for a moment, take this day in, because sometime, many years from now, you will want to take out the little details and look at them and think back...

she is a wise one...and we should approach most days that way
I think that is why a picture is truly worth a thousand words. I think pictures really do keep the memories alive and family movies even more so because you can almost relive that moment in your mind. Capturing family stories from the elders is very important too, it is almost like having a history book about your family. I really wish one of us had taken the time to record my Mom's stories and our other relatives. Now they are pretty much lost. Such a sad thing to lose.
I agree with Brian, your Aunt was a very wise woman. You were truly blessed to have someone like her.
God bless.
lovely words, sugar! i've lost so many pictures from my wedding day, but i can close my eyes and remember it as if happened a bit more recently than all those years ago... (hey, i'm grateful i remember what day it is these days!) xoxoxox

When an author can blend words into images without so much as pausing for breath, then it is time again for that author to once more pick up the quill.
I would advise you to revisit the last photie in the selection. The simplicity draws the eye back to the words searching for more of the elegance that began with a mere sentence.
You and I both know why you no longer write. Agony is the life blood of the ink. Pain is merely weakness leaving the body. It is time to begin again.
Beautiful
