Tennessee Morning, Road Trip Part 2

A nice bottle of Cheerwine soda pop and a leisurely browse through the Just Busted pages...Cheerwine is a subtle gustatory mix of faux cherry, off-brand cola, and poison. I will say that it woke me right up.

The mountains here are spectacular, and thanks to the hallucinatory effects of Cheerwine, they are looking larger and smokier than ever on this bright morning. Thank you for your hospitality, Tennessee! I mean that.

What part of the state are you in? Other than the humidity, I am loving my new home here in Nashville. No where as much as I love NYC.... but nothing can compare with NYC :)

hi Sarah! we ended up passing through Chattanooga into Georgia. we had really wanted to go to Nashville! Do you know I have never been there? It was just too circuitous on this ride, so instead we are going through to New Orleans...

Cheerwine? Not something I've ever come across in my travels around the States. I see the company has just appointed Spencer Cummings as the first ever Miss Cheerwine. She is said to be "vivacious, charismatic and possessing the requisite Southern charm". Like the drink, presumably.

Cheerwine sounds like you need to acquire a taste for it. But I guess if it provides hallucinations then maybe it is a cheery drink.

Looking at the Just Busted pics, and some of them look perfectly normal, while others look like you might not answer your door if they came knocking.

Would love to see those mountains someday, although I can see our mountains when we have a smog free day, I just don't pay too much attention to them because they are always here. Maybe I need to really "look" at them and see their beauty.

Stay safe.

God bless.

sav, we will be in New Orleans tomorrow, alas not for that nice brunch!

Nick, love the idea of a Miss Cheerwine, that is hilarious! I had never even heard of the drink before this trip. I like the name.

Hi MrsU, I do think that Cheerwine, much like Mr Pibb, is an acquired taste...
