Cupcakes and Kisses

In the grand tradition of birthdays everywhere, I present Suzanne with cupcakes:

    Leah, those are the most beautiful cupcakes I've EVER seen. Are those from Magnolia's? If you don't mind I'm going to take them to the party and share the beauty. I don't think we should eat them. I think we should look at them for the day, then pop them in the freezer like the top of a wedding cake. We can bring them out on special occasions and just stare at them, then pop them back in.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, nothing like an Adirondack lake, some Loons and a canoe. I'd swim, but I'd drown because I don't know how. I can float however, so if my canoe overturns, it may take a few days, but I'll make it back to your dock. "Hedgie, do Mom or Dad have a life jacket? Okay, well then wish me luck honey. No baby, I'm sorry, you can't come today because this is a journey a 49 year old must take on her own. You'll understand when you're older that dear friends give lakes for a reason. Bye honey. See you in a few hours or in a few days, depends on the tide, winds and luck!!!" (I cracked myself up!)

    Leah, you're the best. I love you so much and thank you for such beautiful gifts. I exhaled. Honestly. I don't care if the sun comes out or not, I'm home and I'm happy.
