I started to worry that people might think I'd shut them out of my blog, so I'm taking the block off while I figure out what to do with it.
The Weather in the Streets is stormy, literally and figuratively. You know how it goes...
I am more cheerful here, though:

One way to handle it:
1. Leave one explanatory post up with comments turned off.
2. Mark all other posts as Draft.
That way you leave out the welcome mat and protect the other content.
Details by e-mail if you have any questions.
what xl said (except, i didn't even think of the posts as drafts bit. what a great idea!) would work really well and you wouldn't have to worry. do whatever you need to do, sugar. you know where to find your friends when you need us. xoxoxoxox
Thanks Leah for popping back for even just a little while...Xl always seems to have it sorted god bless him...
I popped over to find out more about the scarf thingy and foun that you were closed... serves me right for procrastinating and leaving things till the last minute.
Can i still join in or is it too late?
Oh hai Savannah...
And Leah If you still have the info about the scarves and it's too late could you direct me to the link again as at the time i got so excited i forgot to copy and paste it into my reader...
Sorry to trouble you as you seem to have more than enough on your plate but you do know where to find us all....
Stay well and Big Hugs to you all from me (((XXX)))

Thankyou Darling Leah i'll get on to it right now...XXX
well hello there...
Just good to know you're still out there. XL's idea is good, but whatever works for you. Take care.
Hello, Leah...
Pearl
I think you will do what needs to be done. But I am sorry, I can't say anything about knitting.
I am glad you are back open.
But that other blog? Um ... it appears to be about yarn. I am trying to be excited about that but it seems to be lacking in some very important areas. For instance, I see no naked women there at all.
Now you know why XL is Personal IT Consultant to Mistress MJ.
Hello, Leah. Nice to see you surface for a bit. Come back when you're ready. No rush. We'll keep the porch light on.
Hey Leah... Whenever or wherever you show up, you are always welcome. Love that you popped back in for a bit. xoxoxo
Hiya Brooklyn! Have fun with the scarves. One of these days I'll learn how. :)
Sorry to hear things are a bit stormy. I hope they calm down again.
I love your blog! I've been lurking for years, and I was disappointed to see that you were gone the other day. I look forward to your thoughtful posts about your family and the world. I hope things start to look brighter soon.
Regarding your reading list: I must say that In Cold Blood, in my opinion is excellent. I just don't know he (Capote) managed to pull it off.
I've just seen a pic of my dish cloths!
I'm resurfacing for a moment, myself. Once a blogger always a blogger, however long the gaps between posts.
Sx
So glad!
I though I was persona non grata.
ahem, oy veh!?
Always a delight to read your posts. As and when.
Maybe that's something ...
You are better than I even offering an explanation. Do what you gotta do, however you do it. *hugs*
i know how you feel...
I always inspired by you, your opinion and way of thinking, again, appreciate for this nice post.
