Today is my 13th wedding anniversary. Thirteen years married, but nearly 19 years together from the first kiss to this moment. In honor of love, here are some of my favorite couples; friends, lovers, requited, unrequited, thrilled, longing--obsessed, in thrall, in sympathy, in love, in like--persevering, I've found all of these things with Sarge over the last two decades.

Take pride in your accomplishment because maintaining a Pairbond is no easy task for homo escapeons.
ReplyDeleteIt is a relatively new evolutionary adaptation for mammals..actually birds seem to have a better handle on this...and humans, especially well educated ones, seem to be woefully inept at monotonous, I mean monogamous :) relationships.
The authentic adoration that you two share for each other is obvious and I have no doubt that you'll be celebrating anniversaries until the cows come home or the zombies burst through the front door...since you and I will prolly miss the Rapture.
