Girl,
Didn't know you can knit too! I think I will pass on the dish rag tag. But I am knitting a blue scarf for my Midget...What are YOU knitting?
Auntie, what am I not knitting is more the question!
Afghans for people's birthdays, socks and more socks, sweaters for Hedgehog, bits of lace, it's endless--
you can check out my knitting blog for some of it--although I haven't updated in awhile.
I'd love to see your scarf!
have i books about learning how to knit, sugar! does that count? ;~D xoxox
I took your advice and have now knitted a total of three dishcloths, and very durable they are too; but that's my lot!
Okay, I just have one question. I clicked the link to your knitting blog, but I'm a bit confused. Aren't the squares featured in your header crocheted?
I also clicked the other link. Oh I wish I could knit a dish cloth, but I can't. Yes,I know how to knit, but keep forgetting. Rob gave me Stitchin 'n Bitchin a few years ago to help me remember and it worked like a charm. Started a beautiful blanket, got distracted with renovating this damn house and never went back to it. I recently gave it and the wool to Good Will along with the afgan I started back in 1982. That one was crocheted and really lovely, but only partially completed as well. It was a zig zag pattern in a sea foam blue and pale green. It was gorgeous. Sort of like being at the beach every day. After hauling it and the yarn around for over 25 years I decided to let someone else finish it because I no longer knew how. Reading your post it dawn on me I should have sent both to you.
Have fun! If a dish cloth is easy to make I might try. Not for the exchange however because I wouldn't want to embarrass myself. I'll try it out on my kitchen first, then figure out if I'm worthy of the next exchange.
XO
P.S. Your comment below cracked me up! Love you.
Its taken years to come to terms with it. I just can't knit.
I cannae knit, I cannae sew, I cannae even crochet. I feel decidely left oot!
Perhaps my houseboys would be interested.
OK Leah,
I gave the handwritten post a shot and I'm glad I did but a brother's gots'ta draw the line.
I shall leave knitting to the knitters and wish them well.
I hear The Dude calling.

I can see that we need a knitting clinic here! Show up at my place next Sunday--I've got needles and yarn for all. Even you Jimmy.
Suzy, I wish you'd have given me the yarn and afghan--I could have finished it for you and sent it back! Oh well...
I signed up for Year 3 - #6 in the list - why yes, I was reloading that page at 1:01PM EST! :-)
It's a major hoot, isn't it?
The only thing I can knit is my brow.
Amanda--it was such a hoot, really! Such suspense, and I'm not kidding! It certianly makes it more exciting that we're sending these things all around the country right smack in the middle of hurricane season...
UB--hah! You talented man.
