The Winner of a Nice New Custom Pair of Handmade Socks is...

CYBERPETE!

Cyberpete, you won with your hilarious dissertation title, "Two Years' Research: Men in Uniforms are Hot"

You were all funny, though. I wish I could share the sock love even more...

Next step--CyberPete, email me at "theweatherinthestreets@gmail.com" and tell me the length of your feet in inches, as well as a few of your favorite color choices for socks.

Thank you all very much for being so game!!!

  1. Well deserved, even though it didn't get my vote.

In fact, I had a really hard time voting! What a great contest!

  3. The length of his wah????

    Oh. His feet.

Anyway, I shouldn't have voted for him.

He already won a set of cocktail napkins this week. What more does he need?

The little Danish poof has a horseshoe up his ass!

  6. YAY!

Thanks to everyone who voted for me and of course to Leah for making the compo in the first place.

For some reason I can't send emails from my iPhone without a proper Internet connection so I can't email you until Monday or Tuesday when things should be back to normal. Hopefully.

This week has been awesome MJ!

  9. good morning Leah,
I took the Virtual #5 train from da Bronx to Brooklyn late last nite to take a closer look at your blog.

Dang, Girl, you are a prolific writer. I reread your ghost post again (oh, that's redundant). I also enjoyed reading up on your other musings.

I wish I had followed my dreams and jumped into a Doctoral program years ago, but with 3 Master degrees and just 5 more years before retirement, it makes no damn sense.

I also tried to add your blog to my blog roll but my computer had a heart attack. Let me try it again now.
    cheers,
Dog Girl (aka Listen 2 Auntie)

  12. Uh oh, enormous feet. Better have two skeins of yarn at the ready!!! Or maybe even three...

Maybe I can glue some glitter to the toes when I'm done...

  14. Auntie! I'm so glad you've checked things out over here at the Brooklyn blog. It's fun that you live just a couple of boroughs away--I'm used to readers who live at least 3000 miles away! It's almost exotic to have someone from the Bronx, lol!
