Thankful for Pippin

Old dog, hideous breath, portly middle, you only grumble a little when I squeeze your soft soft self, you pee on the floor sometimes now and are deaf and more than a little blind, but still you're worth a price above rubies.

  1. Aren't dogs the bestest pet ever?

    Thanks Pippin!

  3. Pippin is great, and what a lovely tribute to your furry friend. Good boy Pippin, and your owner is pretty cool too.

  4. All together now: "Awwwwww."

I just want to pull his ears gently through my hands...

  5. And they know they can get away with anything now especially standing infront of you and peeing on the floor.
A friend is still a friend even after all these years.

  6. This is a lovely post, Leah.
Isn't great how dogs give back love unconditionally?
I am 'between dogs' ... for far too long. We don't have a secure yard. Thanks for sharing Pippin.

  7. It doesn't matter what they do, does it? That is a precious photo and I know why you posted. Pippin is a lucky dog to have your love.

I just went to rest my hand on my chin and it hurt. Ouch! I avoided killing the kitty carriers tonight by missing them and falling on a hardwood floor. Idiot!!!

  8. Funny how much our pets come to mean to us - just like our kids. What a fabulous post and a fabulous picture.

    Thanks Pippin!

  10. ...the unconditional love, affection & friendship a dog gives is a wonderful gift. In our family his name is 'Rocky'. In addition to his regular job of making us smile; Roc is a service dog that visits childrens hospitals and elderly hospices in the area. Kids read to him and the elderly enjoy his 'Hello' visits. There is no price for the comfort 'they give'.
