  4. Leah,

It's a lovely photo! I love the story of driving up that hill to get to the library to post a photo of the hill - bizarre, but great!

  5. all this talk of the hill reminds me of the sydney cricket ground, the tickets for "the hill" were the cheapest and the hill became famous for the bad behaviour that went on there.

Did you need a trip out of the house?

  8. Robyn, I'm so glad you're in the swap--it should be fun, and it's too bad we're not partners!

I'm in upstate NY, in a cabin on a lake that I share with my sister. It's really lovely, I must say.

    xo!

  10. HI Muralimanohar--I went to San Francisco once. My host drove us around in a twenty-year-old VW bus with a failing stick shift. Agreed: those hills were something else entirely...

  14. Miss K!!! Yes, that hill is a delight. No snoozing bums or shouting drunks like the subways of NYC... : )

  16. Driving down the hill to take a picture of the hill to post a picture of the hill ... is going the long way around it for sure, but the image is great :-)

Best wishes and a penny more for the gasoline it took to drive all that way for the image,
